The ICCD (International Chess Committee of the Deaf) has been organizing chess championships for deaf players since 1949.

The European Deaf Team Chess Championship is a major event in the deaf chess community, held every four years. The first edition was in 2022, and now we proudly continue the tradition in 2025.

This prestigious event brings together the best chess teams from across Europe, celebrating not only the competitive spirit but also unity and friendship within the chess community.

For the first time in the history of this championship, a blitz team tournament will be introduced, adding extra excitement and dynamism to the event!
